The sisters did not know each about the other's survival. Violeta lived under communist regime in Albania. In 1967 they made first contact. Violeta converted to Islam during the war and could not prove she was Jewish. In November 1991 she made Aliya to Israel with her family, and the sisters were reunited after 70 years apart.
