At the end of the war, Yaakovski, the poish family that kept Michael, passed him to a orphanage in Otwock. In the year 1950, most of the children went to Israel, and thos that didn't were moved to a orphanage in Krakow until 1954/1955. Warsaw, Poland, Yaakov Fogel (Stanislav Kortewich).
Yaakov Fogel, and in his false name Stanislav Kortewich, was in busniss contact with the Hochberg family. He helped Michael to cross the border of the ghetto illegally, and passed him to a polish family they knew, Yaakovski, and they kept him until the end of the war.
