Photographs documenting the arrival process of Hungarian Jews from different places on different dates during late-spring-summer 1944. It seems that the majority of the photos document the arrival of a transport of 2,600 Jews from the Beregszasz Ghetto on 26/5/1944.
The photos were taken by order of the Auschwitz complex commandant Rudolf Hoess by the head of the SS ID department Bernhard Walter and his assistant Ernst Hoffmann.
