The work battalion was directed by Colonel Imre Revitzky who received the award of a Righteous Among the Nations after the war because he saved a number of Jews in the work battalion which he was in charge of. The father of the submitter of the photograph, Eugen Fuchs was one of the survivors of the work battalion. The Jews seen in the photograph are wearing armbands.
