Following the decision of the Paris Convention on 21/12/1945, Jewish property confiscated during the time of the Nazi regime was transferred to Switzerland, England, the United States and other countries in order to compensate displaced individuals and victims of the Nazis. Some of the articles were transferred to the IRO, an organization that provided help for survivors and refugees. The operation was named Operation Frankfurt.
