Following the decision of the Paris Conference on 21/12/1945, Jewish property that had been confiscated by the Nazis was transferred to Switzerland, the UK, the United States, and other places for the purpose of compensating displaced persons and victims of the Nazis. Part of the property was transferred to the International Restitution Organization to help survivors and refugees. The project was known as "Frankfurt Operation".
