The tank platoon of the "Zoska" battalion of the AK captured two tanks on 02/08/1944, one of which was used in an attack on Janowska on 05/08/1944. The newspaper article by J. B. Deczkowski from 03/08/1989, "45 years after the prisoners' liberation from Janowska" contains a description of the revolt in the Janowska prison on 01-05/08/1941 and the liberation of 348 Jewish prisoners from France, Greece, Poland and Hungary, who were imprisoned in Janowska. The article also contains a description of the fighting in Warsaw during September 1944 and photographs of female prisoners liberated from the prison.
