Lev Gorelik was born in Parichi, Belorussia (USSR), 1902 to Abram and Gita. He was a shoemaker and married to Ida nee Sukhovitzkaya. Prior to WWII he lived in Shatilki, Belorussia (USSR). During the war he was in the Soviet armed forces. Lev was killed in military service in WWII. Place of death: Orel, Russia (USSR), 11/02/1942.
Among the Jewish soldiers killed in WWII, especially in the Red Army, tens of thousands were singled out and murdered as Jews while in captivity as prisoners of war.
