Izrail Faibishenko was born in Tetiyev, Ukraine (USSR), 1915 to Volka and Khana. He was a pilot and married. Prior to WWII he lived in Chuguyev, Ukraine (USSR). During the war he was in the Soviet armed forces. Izrail was killed in military service in WWII. Place of death: Kiev, Ukraine (USSR), 1941.
Among the Jewish soldiers killed in WWII, especially in the Red Army, tens of thousands were singled out and murdered as Jews while in captivity as prisoners of war.
