Avram Asnin was born in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine (USSR), 1910 to Ilia. He was an university lecturer and married to Pelageya nee Yanovskaya. Prior to WWII he lived in Novomoskovsk, Ukraine (USSR). During the war he was in Lvov, Poland. Avram was killed in military service in WWII. Place of death: the Soviet armed forces, 1942.
Among the Jewish soldiers killed in WWII, especially in the Red Army, tens of thousands were singled out and murdered as Jews while in captivity as prisoners of war.
