Yuda Katkovski was born in Novodarovka, Ukraine (USSR), 1900 to Izrail and Lyuba. He was a mechanic and married to Revekka nee Nemchyonok. Prior to WWII he lived in Zaporozhye, Ukraine (USSR). During the war he was in the Soviet armed forces. Yuda was killed in military service in WWII. Place of death: Krasnodar, Russia (USSR), 1943.
Among the Jewish soldiers killed in WWII, especially in the Red Army, tens of thousands were singled out and murdered as Jews while in captivity as prisoners of war.
