Yankel Aronovich was born in Khislavichi, Russia (USSR), 1889 to Khaim Yude. He was a worker and married to Zhenya. Prior to WWII he lived in Roslavl, Russia (USSR). During the war he was in the Soviet armed forces. Yankel was killed in military service in WWII. Place of death: unknown, 1943.
Among the Jewish soldiers killed in WWII, especially in the Red Army, tens of thousands were singled out and murdered as Jews while in captivity as prisoners of war.
