Lev Vinetzki was born in Kremenchug, Ukraine (USSR), 1898 to Yakov and Khaia nee Abramovitz. He was an electrical engineer and married to Paulina nee Rapoport. Prior to WWII he lived in Kharkov, Ukraine (USSR). During the war he was in the Soviet armed forces. Lev was killed in military service in WWII. Place of death: Krym ASSR, Russia (USSR), 01/1942.
Among the Jewish soldiers killed in WWII, especially in the Red Army, tens of thousands were singled out and murdered as Jews while in captivity as prisoners of war.
