Max Belkind was born in Logoysk, Belorussia (USSR), 1896 to Meyer and Ida. He was an engineer and married to Riva. Prior to WWII he lived in Logoysk, Belorussia (USSR). During the war he was in the Soviet armed forces. Max was killed in military service in WWII. Place of death: Stalingrad, Russia (USSR), 1943.
Among the Jewish soldiers killed in WWII, especially in the Red Army, tens of thousands were singled out and murdered as Jews while in captivity as prisoners of war.
