Riva Konevskaya was born, 1907 to Mikhail. She was a kolkhoznik / kolkhoznitza and married to Maisey. Prior to WWII she lived in Novo Berislav, Ukraine (USSR). During the war she was in Dubovka, Russia (USSR). Riva was registered following the evacuation/ in the interior of the Soviet Union.
Following the Nazi onslaught on 22 June 1941, about one and a half million Jewish residents of the Soviet Union were evacuated or fled to the interior of the country. They had to leave everything behind and find refuge in difficult conditions of food scarcity, harsh weather and disease.
