City of Lodz in Poland, after the Second World War. Two brothers, Tadek and Andrzej, grow up without father, and their mother, so busy at work, do not notice when boys join a rowdy and anti-Semitic organization.Only, when during a fight one of the boys gets hurt, she realizes what is going on. Then she decides to leave Poland togather with her family and go to…Australia. At the end of the trip it comes out that the goal was not to reach Australia but Israel. Boys become conscious of their and their family roots.The film is a full of emotions but also humorous tentative of self statement, and in case of both kids...
In this road movie a group of Israeli teenagers from different backgrounds set out on a personal and fascinating adventure following the original “Bricha Movement", which was set up to help Jews escape post-war Europe and get to Israel. Using today's Europe as the backdrop, and throughout the different stops on the routes of the Bricha, the teenagers meet with survivors, witnesses and local youth to hear their personal extraordinary experiences. The journey they take, both physically and emotionally is complex, amusing, eye-opening - and very important to an understanding of themselves and of their history.
Marisa, a 20-year-old German girl, hates foreigners, Jews, cops, and everyone she finds guilty for the decline of her country. She provokes, drinks, fights and her next tattoo will be a portrait of Adolf Hitler. The only
place she feels at home is with the Neo-Nazi gang she belongs to, where hate, violence, and heavy parties are the daily rules. When 14-year-old Svenja joins the group, Marisa appears like a role model to her: she fits the
purest idea of a combat girl fighting for the group's ideology. But Marisa's convictions will slowly evolve when she accidentally meets a young Afghan refugee....
