Ararat

The film within a film in Ararat examines the often-overlooked Armenian holocaust (1915-17) in the Ottoman Empire. The story revolves around Ani (Arsinee Khanjian), an art history professor who is hired as a consultant on Ararat, an epic movie about the genocide being made by an Armenian director (Charles Aznavour).
