The part is based on original fottages that were shot in Auschwitz by Soviet photographs between January 27th, 1945 and February 28th, 1945, the first month after the camp's liberation. Almost no editing was done, nor sound or music added. Alexander Vorontsov one of the Soviet photographs, participated in the shooting of the film.

ויזנטל נולד ב- 1908 בבוצ'אץ' (Buczacz) שבגליציה ולמד אדריכלות בפראג. בפרוץ מלה"ע ה-2 התגורר בלבוב (Lwow), פולין. הוא נאסר בידי המשטרה האוקראינית ורוב שנות המלחמה היה כלוא במחנות ריכוז ועבודה. ב-5 מאי, 45, שוחרר בידי צבא ארה"ב במטהאוזן (Mauthausen). לאחר המלחמה התמסר לחקירת פושעי מלחמה נאצים. תחילה עבד באגף לפשעי מלחמה בצבא ארה"ב באוסטריה, וב-1947 הקים את המרכז היהודי לתיעוד היסטורי בלינץ (Linz), אוסטריה....
Drama based on the fact-based novel by Nazi-hunter Simon Wiesenthal, tells the story about his 1962 prosecution of the head of a Polish factory whom he learns was Werner Schultz, a sadistic Nazi labor camp commandant. To be able to take him to justice, he must find witnesses who can help him. This leads him to Max Rosenberg, a still tormented man who lost his wife, Helen, in the camps. Initially Max refuses to cooperate, but gradually his story unfolds beginning before the Holocaust.
