Escort of Shame

Filmmaker, historian, and author Raphael Delpard released this Documentary film, which focuses on the Jewish victims transported from France to Nazi concentration camps during World War II, in cattle car convoys operated by SNCF – the French national train company. Delpard himself was one of the fortunate few who survived the harrowing and unforgettable journey and subsequent imprisonment. He conveys the horrors of the experience through interviews with survivors as well as re-enactments of the actual events that took place.

The Raids of the Summer of 1942 in the free zone

This film is about a little known aspect of the deportation of Jews from France. It explains how, in August 1942, 11 000 men, women, children, Jews who had fled to the south of France entirely under the authority of the Vichy regime, were arrested by police and gendarmes in the French term fully prepared to raids by French officials. Based on the story of survivors, supported by the analysis of eminent historians, this documentary reconstructs the details of this crime. It was supported by the FMS.

Through eye-witness testimonies and archival footages, this documentary tells the story of Maly Trostinec, camp and site of mass murder, (12 km) southeast of Minsk, Belorussia. The camp existed since November 41 solely for the purpose of killing and appropriating the remaining possessions of the victims. The camp served as a killing site for the Jews of Minsk and the surrounding area and tens of thousands of Jews from other European countries. The Wall

Adapted by Millard Lampell from his own 1960 Broadway play, which was inspired by John Hersey's 1950 novel, The Wall tells of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of April 1943. The story is told through the eyes of Warsaw Jew Dolek Benson (Tom Conti) who is a passive observer of the atrocities all around him until he learns the truth about the Nazi's "resettlement" program. Rachel Roberts, cast as Regina Kowalski, a former schoolteacher, made her final appearance in this film. Filmed on location in Sosnowiec, Poland, and first telecast February 16, 1982, The Wall earned a Peabody Award the following year.
