This is a documentary on the life and death of an exceptional man. S. A. Zygielbojm, an important member of Poland's Jewish community, was smuggled out of the country in 1942 and sent abroad as the Jewish representative of the Polish government-in-exile to spread word of the Nazi atrocities in Poland. Ultimately deeming his efforts futile, Zygielbojm committed suicide after the Warsaw ghetto uprising in an attempt to shock the world out of its indifference. סרט קצר מתוך סדרה. הפרק השני: שאול שפילמן מספר על גירושו עם הוריו מביתו בוינה לגטו טרזינשטאט בצ'כוסלובקיה, בשנת 1942. הנאצים עשו תעמולה למשלחת הצלב האדום שהגיעה לבקר במחנה. לשם כך, הם הקימו קבוצות כדורגל ושאול הצטרף לאחת הקבוצות. אביו היה אחד מחברי 'ועדת הבריחה' שניסתה להבריח שישה צעירים אשר יפיצו את ההשמדה של העם היהודי בידי הנאצים. מעורבותו של אביו של שאול התגלתה לנאצים ומשום כך גורשה כל המשפחה בטרנספורט באמצע נובמבר 1943 לאושוויץ. שאול מספר על קורותיו במחנה ועל צעדת המוות ועל השחרור.

סרט תיעודי. הסרט מביא את סיפורם של רופאי גטו ורשה, שכנגד כל הסיכוים, בתנאים קשים ביותר של סגר, צפיפות ומחלות קשות, הקימו מערך בריאות מרשים שתיפקד 24 שעות ביממה, וסיפק שירותים לאוכלוסיית הגטו. המערך הרפואי של הגטו כלל כ-800 רופאים ורופאות, מדענים בעלי שם ואחיות מקצועיות. במסגרת המערך שהקימו, הצליחו הרופאים היהודים ליצר שני מיזמים חסרי תקדים: פקולטה מחתרתית ללימודי רפואה, ומחקר שעסק ברעב. הפקולטה הוקמה ב-1941, בניגוד מוחלט לפקודות הנאצים. מספר פרופסורים ורופאים, בשיתוף ראש מערך הבריאות ביודנראט, ד"ר ישראל מילייקובסקי, העמידו מערך לימודים ל- 500 הסטודנטים לרפואה שעברו לחיות בגטו. הלימודים התקיימו בכל תנאי...
