A short documentry. Naftali (Juraj) Fürst was born in 1932 in Bratislava, Slovakia (then Czechoslovakia) to Margit and Artur. He had one older brother, Shmuel (Peter). After the Slovak State was declared and anti-Jewish measures were implemented, the family went into hiding but were caught. In 1942 they were interned in the Sered concentration camp. In 1944, they managed to escape to Piešťany. By then the Germans had entered and occupied Slovakia. The family members were caught once again and were reinterned in Sered, which came under German command. In November 1944 the family was deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau...

Farewell Mr Haffmann

A feature film. Occupied Paris, 1942 all members of the Jewish community are instructed to come forward and identify themselves to authorities.Jewish jeweler Joseph Haffmann arranges for his family to flee the city and offers his employee the chance to take over his store until the conflict subsides.The employee agrees to the deal but presents his own condition, that Mr. Huffman will get his wife pregnant because he (the employee) is infertile. The relationship which develops between the three raises moral dilemmas. Based on the play "Adieu Monsieur Haffmann" by Jean-Philippe Daguerre.

סדרת סרטי מקור קצרים בהפקת בית הספר הבינלאומי להוראת השואה ביד ושם. סיפורה של בת שבע דגן.בת-שבע דגן נולדה בלודז' שבפולין ב-1925. אביה שלמה-פישל היה בעל בית מלאכה לאריגה, ואמה פייגה הייתה תופרת. לבת-שבע היו חמישה אחים ושלוש אחיות. עם פרוץ המלחמה בת-שבע ואביה הצליחו להגיע לראדום. בהמשך שיחד אביה חייל גרמני וזה הבריח את אמה ואת שתי אחיותיה לעיר. בני המשפחה הועברו לגטו הגדול בעיר. באוגוסט 1942 הופרדו בת-שבע ואחותה הצעירה סבינה מההורים ומהאחות הגדולה גניה, שנשלחו לטרבלינקה. בת-שבע וסבינה הועברו לגטו הקטן ובהמשך הן החליטו לברוח לגרמניה. סבינה נהרגה במהלך ניסיון הבריחה. בת-שבע הגיעה לעיר שוורין בגרמניה תחת זהות של מכרה...

Kindertranport to Sweden

A documentary. he film recounts the fate of four survivors of Jewish origin who were sent on their own by their parents to Sweden during the Third Reich, with the so-called "Kindertransports", in order to save them from the Nazi terror - and experienced a trauma which exists even today, with feelings of loss, loneliness, uprooting and a sense of guilt. Their stories depict the tragic fate of a winner who is at the same time the loser of his own salvation. Most of them never saw their parents again. Sweden gave only 500 children shelter.
