These are the Generations - David and Tzipporah Friedman

A documentary about David and Tzipporah Friedman, Hungarian Holocaust survivors who ran a children's boarding school "Neve Michael" in which they were active from 1950 to 1986. According to their outstanding pedagogical method a children's Home is a family home: students, staff, manager and all his family are one model unit. In the film Zipporah tells her memoirs, and there are interviews and memories of family members and friends, as well as employees and graduates of the boarding school. Photos of the family home in Budapest and in the ghetto are incorporated as well as archive footage.

Secret Courage - The Walter Suskind Story

This documentary tells the story of Walter Suskind, a German Jew living in Amsterdam who was forced by the Nazis to serve as the Jewish head of deportation at the Hollandsche Schouwburg (the Jewish Theater site) in Amsterdam. Using his fluent German and his skills as an actor and businessman, he orchestrated the escape of almost 1,000 Dutch children and adults from the death camps. Suskind himself died at Auschwitz. Saved for Life

This documentary presents the unique colaboration during the Holocaust between non-Jewish Arnold Douwes and Jewish Max Leons. Together the two managed to save hundreds of Jewish children in Holland in the years 1942-1944. Douwes was awarded the “Righteous Gentile” Award at Yad Vashem.
