סרט תעודי העוסק בקהילת יהודי רודוס, הגדול באיי יוון, בזמן הכיבוש הנאצי. יהדות האי, שכונה "ירושלים הקטנה", הייתה למרכז ספרדי חשוב ושפת הלדינו הייתה שגורה בפי כל היהודים. באביב 44 הורו שלטונות הכיבוש הגרמנים לכל היהודים להתאסף עם רכושם וכספם. תושבי האי הלא יהודים הצטוו להסתגר בבתיהם. היהודים הובלו לנמל ומשם, ביום ט' באב, הגיעו לפיראוס. משם נלקחו במשאיות למחנה חיידרי ליד אתונה ואח"כ גורשו לאושוויץ. נערכה סלקציה ע"י ד"ר מנגלה והצעירים נבחרו לעבודה. הם הולבשו בבגדי פסים, שיערם גולח, קועקע מספר על זרועותיהם והם הושמו בבלוק 20. בדרכם הוכו ע"י קאפו יהודים. כל יום קיבלו לאכול פרוסת לחם ומרק דלוח. בינואר 45 שוחרר המחנה...
