A testimony. MarY was born in 1912 in Tarnov, Poland and grew up in Berlin, Germany. After the enactment of the Nuremberg Laws in 1935, Jewish life in Germany in general and in Berlin in particular began to become unbearably difficult. The situation became even worse after Kristallnacht on November 9, 1938. As a result, Mary and her family looked for a way to escape from Nazi Germany. לפני מאה שנה נאלצו סבא וסבתו של הקולנוען פיטר אנטל לברוח מאוקראינה, קורבנות מלחמה ופוגרומים. כיום מתמודדת אנטל עם אותן לאומיות הרסניות. אנו ממשיכים להרוג בשם המולדת, הדגל, התרבות, הדת. זיכרון הזוועות שחיו היהודים, הטטרים המוסלמים בקרים, האורתודוקסים, מועבר מדור לדור ואיתו ארס השנאה. ממחסום אחד למשנהו, פיטר אנטל לוקח אותנו לצד של הנאמנים האוקראינים כמו גם לבדלנים הפרו-רוסיים. הרעיון הוא לא לגרום לנו להבין מי צודק או לא נכון, אלא לגרום לנו להיות מודעים לכך שהאנושות כולה מובסת. בתוך אוקיינוס האבסורד הזה, "כמו טל בשמש" הוא עדות לעובדה שגברים ונשים אלה מכירים בקווי הדמיון שלהם מעבר להבדלים ביניהם.
