Charlotte Salomon - Life and the Maiden

A documentary animated movie. This documentary suggest a look at the young woman who, though she was murdered in Auschwitz at age 26, completed an amount of art, including some 1,300 paintings, before her deportation. Narrated h from her own voice and featuring her images, the film delves into her youth in Berlin, her escape to the south of France after the rise of the Nazis, her love affair with a music teacher, and the creative explosion that resulted in her multimedia work—ahead-of-their-time creations mixing gouache, text, and music.

הרצאה מוקלטת. אירוע מקוון לרגל מלאת שמונים וארבע שנים לפוגרום ליל הבדולח 9 בנובמבר 1938. האירוע המקוון התקיים בתאריך 9 בנובמבר 1936. הנחתה את האירוע גב' אורלי ניר, סגנית מנהלת אגף הנצחה וקשרי קהילה ביד ושם. ההרצאה ניתנה על ידי ד"ר יוסי גלעד ועסקה ביהודים, גרמנים, תקנות וחוקים. על הדרדרות מצבם של יהודים בגרמניה עד אולימפיאדת ברלין 1936. ד"ר גלעד הוא איש חינוך, עוסק בתרבות זיכרון השואה בגרמניה, בפולין ובישראל. בתום ההרצאה הוקרן הסרט "ברלין 36', בבימויו של קספר היידלבך.

Weil used tricks outmaneuver all the Nazi bureaucracy and their collaborators in order to flee concentration camps and to survive. After the war, Weil became a wonderful artist who most of the time focused with his paintings on beautiful subjects - above all women. Manfred Weil survived every kind of distress until he died of a natural death aged nearly 95. The film was shown at stranger than fiction 2016, Germany. .
