The movie tells the story of Swiss diplomat Carl Lutz used his government position and bureaucratic expertise to rescue tens of thousands of Jews in Budapest Hungary who were in danger of deportation to Auschwitz during World War II. He was recognized as a Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem in 1964.
