סרט תיעודי. About 200.000 people were murdered in extermination camp Sobibor. After a revolt in 1943 the Nazi’s closed it down, covering up their killings with thick layers of earth and asphalt. What was left of the remains slowly sank into the ground and remained there for decades. Waiting to be excavated. Now, more than 70 years later Lies and Rudie struggle every day with the crimes committed in Sobibor. While the archeologists reveil it's misleading and treacherous character, layer by layer, we witness Lies and Rudie's attempts to get closer to their long lost loved ones.
