Here I Learned to Love

סרט תיעודי קצר משולב אנימציה. ברט בדיחי נולדה בעיר ליון שבצרפת בשנת 1932. לאחר כיבוש צרפת על ידי גרמניה ביוני 1940 והסכנה למעצר וגירוש יהודים מצרפת, הועברה ברט למקום מסתור בביתה של מאדאם מסונה, שם חיה בזהות בדויה עד לסוף המלחמה. מאדאם מסונה הוכרה לאחר המלחמה על מעשה זה כחסידת אומות העולם.

This documentary suggest a look at the young woman who, though she was murdered in Auschwitz at age 26, completed an amount of art, including some 1,300 paintings, before her deportation. Narrated h from her own voice and featuring her images, the film delves into her youth in Berlin, her escape to the south of France after the rise of the Nazis, her love affair with a music teacher, and the creative explosion that resulted in her multimedia work—ahead-of-their-time creations mixing gouache, text, and music.
