A short documentary. The life of 62-year-old Chaim Lubelski, who lives with his 95-year-old mother in a one-bedroom apartment in a Jewish residential home for the elderly. Chaim’s mother, Nechama, was born in Poland and survived the Nazi concentration camps. Her parents and her first husband were killed in Auschwitz. After the war, she and her second husband, Wolf, also a concentration camp survivor, wanted to emigrate to America, but they were denied because of Wolf’s tuberculosis and forced to stay in Germany. Chaim made it his mission in life to care for them as they got older.
The Pavel Haas Quartet is a string quartet founded in 2002, since when it has a won a number of international awards. Named after the Czech composer Pavel Haas (1899–1944), who was deported from Czechoslovakia in 1941 and died in the Auschwitz concentration camp, the quartet is made up of first violinist Veronika Jarůškova, second violinist Eva Karová, violist Pavel Nikl, and cellist Peter Jarůšek.

In this documentary we find her in the various secret locations as she recalls her adventures of how she passed children under the noses and beards of custom officers, and soldiers alike. Often at great risk to her own life. Until, the day she was arrested, and imprisoned for 15 days.
