Lodz Ghetto - Romkowski's Speech, 1942

Documentary film that makes use of photographs of the speeches of Mordechai Romkowski, and brings the testimony of Tola Meltzer about the eve of the "Sperre" and the text of the speech of Romkowski, the head of the Judenrat in the Lodz Ghetto - who calls for consenting to the order of deportation of the children from the ghetto.

The Lodz Ghetto - The Weaving Workshop Album

This documentary is one of a series of two films comprising sections from beautifully designed albums documenting the achievements of slave laborers in the Lodz Ghetto. The albums were presented as gifts to Mordechai Rumkowski, the Chairman of the Lodz Judenrat.This particular film deals with the Lodz Ghetto’s textile factory.

סרט קצר ותיעודי על הכנר ג'ו פיינגולד. בגיל 91, ג'ו פיינגולד מתקשה לנגן ולכן מחליט לתרום את הכינור שליווה אותו כמעט כל חייו. הכינור מגיע לידיה של בריאנה בת ה-12, שחשה צורך לפגוש את האיש ששינה את חייה. המוזיקה מחברת מיד בין השניים שהגיעו לכאורה מעולמות רחוקים: הוא, ניצול שואה שגדל בבית מוזיקלי והיא – בתם של מהגרים שגדלה בבית חד הורי בברונקס. המוזיקה היא גם החיבור החזק ביותר של שניהם לחיים.

An exhibition was opened at the Ghetto Fighters House Museum

A new exhibition opened at the Ghetto Fighters' House Museum: "In their memory: the Jewish and the Gypsy children who were deported from the Netherlands and Murdered, 1945-1942." The curator of the exhibition in Israel is Yaara Galore who says that the exhibition is based on a book by the same name, written by Husse Lauters and Elina Penward, and was opened in Amsterdam in 2012. The book is the result of a project that took Lautes 6 years to collect 18,000 names of Dutch children, Jews and Gypsies who perished in the Holocaust and 3,000 pictures. סרט תיעודי. הסרט התיעודי "ילדי בירנבאום" מראה את סיפורה המרגש של המשפחה היהודית בירנבאום, שנחתה בשנת 1939 במחנה וסטרבורק. כשפרצה המלחמה בירנבאום אב ואמא דאגו לילדים היהודים מבלי שהוריהם נכנסו למחנה. 35 צריפים, אותם הם הובילה את בית הספר: בית היתומים כצריף במחנה הגיע גם כאשר המשפחה הסתיימה אחר כך בברגן בלזן, בירנבאום דאג ליתומים.
