This is the story of 16 000 people that lived in the big town of Cluj, capital of Transylvania. When war broke in their lives changed completely. In 1945 only 20% of them were still alive. As Holocaust destroyed lives and memories as well, this film tries to keep alive the history of an old and flourishing community.

Cursed Years in Transnistria

A documentary. Jews from former USSR who survived through Holocaust and emigrated to North America share a tragic episode in the history of Europe. The film identified 15 Jews survivors from former USSR, Eastern Europe, who emigrated to USA and Canada. The film portrays the memories of their past, many of them still have untold stories, memories that are valuable to the whole world, especially women that were violated in camps, forced to abort their children.

עכשיו המים שקטים כל כך - סיפורה של אלקה (ריינס) אברמוביץ

סרט מקור תיעודי. אלקה אברמוביץ' (לבית ריינס) נולדה בשנת 1932 בנובוסליצה שברומניה (כיום באוקראינה) למשפחה ציונית אורתודוקסית. בקיץ 1941, בהיותה בת תשע, גורשה יחד עם משפחתה ובני עיירתה אל טרנסניסטריה, שבדרום מערב אוקראינה. במהלך החודשים שבהם הוצעדו על ידי חיילים רומנים בתנאים פיזיים קשים ביותר, איבדה אלקה בני משפחה ומכרים. בחורף 1941 הובלו בני המשפחה אל "אורוות מוות" בכפר האוקראיני קושרניצה, כשהם בשארית כוחותיהם. שם נפטרו אמה של אלקה וסבה. עם השחרור, בקיץ 1944 , שבה אלקה עם אביה, אחותה ואחיה אל עיירתם, נובוסליצה, ומשם המשיכו בדרכם לארץ ישראל. במשך כשנתיים שהתה אלקה בבית יתומים יהודי בקלוז' שברומניה, עד שעלתה ארצה...
