התיאטרון שמר עלינו - סיפורה של ליא קניג-שטולפר

סרט תיעודי קצר. שחקנית וזוכת פרס ישראל ליא קניג-שטולפר נולדה בפולין בשנת 1929. הוריה, יוסף קאמין ודינה קניג, היו שחקני תיאטרון יידיש מוכרים בשנים שבין שתי מלחמות העולם. כשפרצה המלחמה חיה ליא עם אימה בעיר צ'רנוביץ שסופחה על-ידי הסובייטים. בהמשך הן עברו לקישינב שבמולדובה שם הייתה אימה שחקנית בתיאטרון הממלכתי היהודי שבעיר. לאחר שהגרמנים פלשו לברית המועצות בקיץ 1941 נמלטו השתיים יחד עם שאר שחקני התיאטרון לפנים ברית המועצות, לאזור הרפובליקה הסוציאליסטית האוזבקית. במהלך הבריחה נחשפה ליא לזוועות המלחמה ולהפצצות ההרסניות של הצבא הגרמני. אביה של ליא, שבפרוץ המלחמה היה באזור אחר של אוקראינה הסובייטית, ברח גם הוא לפנים...
