Documentary film that presents the testimonies of rescuers of Jews in Poland, Holland, Hungary, Belgium, Germany, France, Czechoslovakia and Ukraine. They tell about their motivations and the dangers that were involved in their rescue activities and hiding from Nazi persecution.
Based on the book "Rescuers - Portraits of Moral Courage in the Holocaust" (1992), by Gay Block and Malka Drucker, this film describes two stories of rescue and courage. "Mamusha" and "Woman on a Bicycle" are two separate stories of women who risked their lives for the sake of rescuing Jews during the WWII.
