A testimony. MarY was born in 1912 in Tarnov, Poland and grew up in Berlin, Germany. After the enactment of the Nuremberg Laws in 1935, Jewish life in Germany in general and in Berlin in particular began to become unbearably difficult. The situation became even worse after Kristallnacht on November 9, 1938. As a result, Mary and her family looked for a way to escape from Nazi Germany.
