In the early 1960s the Brodzkys, the Baumritters and the Burgins, three families of ideological communists of mostly Jewish origin who remained friends, decided to buy a plot of land at Dłużek lake on the outskirts of Mazury, Poland’s lake district, to build summer homes. הסרט התיעודי זה חושף את האנשים שצולמו ע"י צוות צילום אמריקני במרץ 1933 ,בעיר מונקץ' שבצ'כוסלובקיה. הסרט מהווה מסמך תחקירי חשוב בחשיפת זהויותיהם וגורלם של המצולמים באותו סרט שצולם ע"י הצוות האמריקני ב1933. בסרט הקלטות ,צילומים ,מסמכים ,ראיונות ועדויות נדירות מהארץ ומהעולם. בסרט שצולם שנת 1933 תועדה ההקלטה הראשונה של ההמנון הלאומי "התקווה". שרים אותו תלמידי הגימנסיה העברית במונקץ'. בשינוי שורה אחת מהתקווה - "ארץ בה דוד חנה". לאחר 83 שנה מאז אותו צילום היסטורי, נפגשים תלמידי הגימנסיה העברית ששרדו בפגישה מרגשת המתרחשת ביד ושם ומנסים לזהות את חבריהם ,מוריהם ואת עצמם.

סרט תיעודי. סיפור חייה של סרט דוקומנטרי המבוסס על ספר אותו כתבה גבריאלה הרסטין אוספיץ/ Gabriella Hartstein ובו קורותיה ברקע מלחמת העולם השנייה. גבריאלה שנולדה במונקאץ'/Mukačevo שבצ'כוסלובקיה למשפחה יהודית ציונית נבחרה בילדותה להעניק פרחים לאישיות מכובדת שביקרה בעיר. הברון ג'וזאיה קלמנט וג'ווד/ Josiah Clement Wedgwood חבר פרלמנט בריטי לא-יהודי אך ציוני נלהב הגיע למונקץ' להרצות. שנים אחר כך עם המלחמה שבפתח מסייע הברון לגבריאלה להימלט מאימת הנאצים.
