סרט ביתי העוסק בסיפורה של מרים שטיין, ניצולת שואה ילידת שנת 29, צ'כסלובקיה. ב- 44 גורשו שטיין ומשפחתה לאושוויץ, שם התראתה שטיין בפעם באחרונה עם משפחתה. היא הייתה בת 14 ומצאה עצמה לבדה בין אנשים שדיברו שפות שונות. בלילה היא הוצעדה עם עוד נשים לבירקנאו, בלוק 9. יום אחד היא הועלתה עם עוד מספר נשים למחנה בהמבורג, שם עבדה בפינוי אבנים. מאוחר יותר היא הועברה למחנה אידלשטט, שם הועסקה עם עוד נשים בבנייה. עם התקדמות כוחות בנות הברית נשלחו הנשים רכבת לברגן בלזן, שם שוחררה שטיין בידי כוחות בריטים. מגרמניה הועברה שטיין לשוודיה והוכנה ע"י שליחים מא"י לקראת עלייה. בערב חג המולד 46 הפליגה שטיין לא"י על האונייה 'חיים...

Exodus 1947

This documentary examines the history and impact of the Exodus 1947, the ship that tried to run the British blockade of Palestine. Crewed by former Jewish-American GIs, the ship took on a cargo of Holocaust survivors in France and headed for Palestine in the summer of 1947. After a battle on the high seas with the British, the illegal immigrants were sent back to DP camps in the British Zone of Germany. The newsreel and print media seized upon the Exodus 1947 as a symbol of the Jewish struggle for statehood. This aborted voyage evoked international support for the creation of a Jewish homeland in Palestine....

Documentary film about Mordechai (Motti) Hod (Fein) (1926-2003), the seventh Commander-in-Chief of the Israeli Airforce. Hod was born in Kibbutz Degania. In 1944, at the height of the Second World War, Hod volunteered to serve in the British Army in a transportation unit that assisted the Jewish Brigade on the Italian front. Salvador: The Ship of Shattered Hopes

A documentary. The long-forgotten tale of migrant ship, The Salvador, that set sail from Bulgaria en route to Palestine in 1940, carrying 352 passengers on board before sinking by the Turkish coast. Of all the passengers on the ship, only 122 survived. Combining archive material and interviews with the survivors, this documentary tells the story of The Salvador and of Bulgarian Jews’ ill-fated migration efforts, whilst lingering on the way the tragedy was received by the land’s Jewish communities of the time.
