A life story of Czech R.A.F. pilot Josef Bryks, who had many times during the 2nd World War in the forces put his life great danger. Later in captiviti he was the sourse of everyone's hope, when he attempted to escape the camp seven times. The comunist back in the Czechoslovakia had rewarded him with jail and slave labor in uranium mines. In an inmates questionnaire he did not state that he'd regret his service for his country, he just said: "I have overestimated the Czech soul." In 1957 was Jan Bryks, aged 41 tortured to death in Jachymovov jail.
