בסרט תיעודי זה, וולוול (לופו) גוטמן, ניצול שואה מרומניה, מספר סיפור אימה על יצירת סבונים מגופות היהודים שנספו במחנות השמדה בפולין. אחרי המלחמה, ברחבי רומניה הוצבו אנדרטאות סבון, לזכר קורבנות השואה. הסרט הוא סיור בין שרידי בתי קברות באירופה שלאחר השואה, בוחן את המצבות שנבנו כדי לסמן את הקבורה של הסבון שנעשה מבשרו היהודית.

The film presents the personal stories of the residents of the Moses Rosen Retirement Home in Bucharest, taking us through the Jewish quarter, in the areas where scenes of antisemitic violence took place during the 1941 pogrom, at the houses of the film’s subjects, and in front of the buildings that played an important role in the life of the Jewish community and Jewish identity before, during and after the war.

The Exit of the Trains

A documentary about the victims of the 1941 Jassy Pogrom. On June 29, 1941, the Jewish residents of the city of Iasi were rounded up and beaten, shops and homes were looted, and most of the men were shot or crowded onto trains, where they later died of asphyxiation. While Germans took part in the pogrom, the majority of the perpetrators were Romanian policemen, military officers and civilians. The film lists from A to Z , the names of 13000 victims who died , illustrating them with photographs from passports and family albums The film was premiered internationally in Berlinale Forum section 2020.
