Seton Hall University President Monsignor Robert Sheeran and the Sister Rose Thering Endowment for Jewish-Christian and Holocaust Studies (SRTE) join with Eli Zborowski, chairman of the American Society for Yad Vashem, and Dr. Susanna Kokkonen, director of the Christian Friends of Yad Vashem, to celebrate the publication of Luna Kaufman's memoirs, "Luna's Life".

We Were There

This documentary film deals with the annihilation of European Jewry as a background to the visit of a group of public officials, Arabs and Jews from Israel, to Auschwitz-Birkenau in May 2003. Emil Shofani, from the Greek-Catholic Church in Nazareth, was the person who initiated this trip. During the visit the Israelis met with another delegation from France. Among other things seen in this film, with the death wall of Auschwitz in the background, are Arabs praying and Jews praying the ritual prayer of mourning (Kaddish).
