קולומיאה בתקופת השואה
סרט תיעודי. אודות הקהילה היהודית בקולומיה שנחרבה בשואה. על פי המסורת היהודיתשבגליציה המזרחית, שעל פי המסורת, מייסד החסידות, הבעל שם טוב, נולד באחד מפרבריה. עם הכיבוש הסובייטי של פולין המזרחית הוטלו גזרות על הקהילה היהודית, שמנתה כ-20 אלף איש. כשנכבשה העיר על ידי הנאצים ב-1941, נסוג סוכמן יחד עם הצבא האדום, ואחר כך התגייס לשורותיו. רוב יהודי קולומיה, וביניהם רב העיר, ישראל יוסף לאו, דודו של הרב הראשי לשעבר, ישראל לאו, נרצחו במחנה המוות בלז'ץ. אחרי המלחמה מסר סוכמן את מדיו לאנשי "הבריחה", כדי שיוכלו לנוע עמם בחופשיות באירופה, ובאפריל 1947 ניסה להגיע לארץ ישראל באוניית המעפילים "שאר ישוב". הבריטים לכדו את האוניה,...
