A documentary film, depicting the historical events associated with the announcement of the State of Israel sixty years ago. The dramatic emergence of the Jewish state after World War II, in 1948 was voted and announced by the UN. Czechoslovakia was one of the first countries to vote in favor of the establishment of Israel, and provided specific and significant contribution to the new state at its very beginnings. It was the Czechoslovak weapons and Israeli troops trained in Czechoslovakia, who defended Israel in the War of Independence against attack by Arab countries. The pilots trained in Olomouc Czechoslovakia, are interviewd in this film. Amongst the interviewd are: Avraham Harshalom, Hugo Marom, Meir Sheffer, Hanan Bachrich and Nori Harel, all of them Holocaust survivors that the Czech air force trained before the Israeli War of Independence, 1948.
