The film was made as a final project in Melbourne University (Australia) by her daughter, Judy Bitterman. Levy's grand-daughter Liyanplays her as a child, hiding with a local Polish family in the village. The story is based on her experiences as a child as written in her book "Before Saying Goodbye". In the book Levi describes the year of her life in hiding. She was only spoken to when something was wanted of her, she slept on a bench, she couldn't shower and she was only allowed to wash her hands under a pipe out in the yard next to the pig's trough.
