Based on the 1961 book by Nobel Laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, Dawn is an account of Wiesel's experiences during the Holocaust. It tells the story of Elisha, a Holocaust survivor who moves to the British Mandate of Palestine and joins a terrorist group determined to oust the British from the area. One night, Elisha is told that he must execute a British officer at dawn, and the story covers his struggle with his inner demons. Adapted for television by Jack Kuper, himself a Holocaust child survivor.
