This documentary, made by Austrian directors Hannes Gellner and Thomas Draschan, tells of the fate of Jewish children under the Vichy government through material collected during historical research and presented by Serge and Beate Klarsfeld, historians and activists. Six survivors, who were children or adolescents during WWII, describe here their arrest and deportation. Their testimonies combine personal fate with historical facts and point the Vichy government as responsible to the deportation of more than 11,000 Jewish children towards Nazi concentration camps in the years 1942-1944. Serge Klarsfeld’s recalls of the prominent role of Austrian Nazis in the implementation of the "final solution" in France.
