Messengers Without an Audience

Movies
This documentary tells of the heroism of two eye-witnesses who were the first to report to the West about the Nazi crimes being committed in the concentration camps. All they got in response from London and Washington was apathy and disbelief. Taking part in this film are Jan Karski (his last interview), a Righteous Gentile and emissary from the Polish Government, and Dr Gerhart Riegner, a representative of the World Jewish Congress in Geneva, who sent a telegram (known afterwards as “Riegner Telegram”) to Stephen Weiss and to British MP Sidney Silverman, warning of the Nazi plans to exterminate millions of Jews. Includes archival footage.
