Based on the true story of Paul Rusesabagina, director of a hotel in Kigali, capital of Rwanda, this award wining drama deals with the bloodshed conflict that erupted in the country in 1994 and explores one man’s heroic actions. With the outbreak of the violence he, Paul Rusesabagina (Don Cheadle), a Hutu married to a Tutsi ethnic group woman, found himself in the midst of the conflict. In despair, as conditions worsened, he started to provide secretly lodging wherever possible, in the hotel under his management, to hundreds of Tutsis. In a parallel direction to it, he tries to have the support of the helpless UN forces under the command of Oliver (Nick Nolte), protecting the place. He also called for international help, but noticed indifference and helplessness. Finally, he manages to save about 1,200 refugees, who were smuggled out of the country.
