The Boys from Brazil

This drama is based on one of the well-known books of Ira Levin, an author and playwright of frightening mysteries, who also co-wrote this screenplay. ‘The Boys from Brazil’ is a complex fantasy story dealing with Dr Josef Mengele, allegedly living in South America, continuing with his genetic experiments and scheming to get back into Hitler’s life using genetic cloning. The character of the Nazi hunter in the film, “Ezra Lieberman” was based on Simon Wiesenthal. ‘The Boys from Brazil’ was nominated for 3 Oscars and starred a team of known actors (Gregory Peck, Laurence Olivier, James Mason, Rosemary Harris, Denholm Elliott).
