This documentary explores the history of Jewish Communities in the Middle East countries – Algiers, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen, some with ancient roots going back to around 2,500 years. Individual testimonies and historic archive footage are combined together to describe the life of the Jews among their Arabs neighbors; tradition, culture, livelihood, politics, Zionist activities, persecution of Jews in these countries; anti-Semitic rhetoric and laws, pogroms, restriction of emigration, expropriation of properties, “Damascus Blood Libels”, deprivation of rights, forced conversion to Islam, immigration to Israel, the life after the establishment of Israel.
