This film is presented by the educational unit of the production company “Shem Olam’, an institute which was founded in 1996 in Kfar Harrah in Emek Hefer by Rabbi Avraham Krieger with the aim of investigating and documenting the religious and spiritual world in the Holocaust. “The Rabbinical leadership at the time of the Holocaust” deals with Rabbi Zvi Yosef Carlebach who is known as the last Rabbi practicing in Nazi Germany. The film reconstructs his actions in the field of education and community leadership. Rabbi Carlebach led the community before the Holocaust and during it, until his murder in 1942.
