A documentary film about the play performed by the New York Ramaz Art Middle School 30th April 2008. The play, by fashion photographer, opera singer and stage theatre teacher, Gail Hadani, was written specially for a young audience and gives a specific task to each of the participants. The story takes place in occupied France a short time before the Allies invade Normandy in June 1944. It focuses on a group of young Jews who, after the murder of their parents in the town square by the Nazis, are hidden in the cellar of the local theatre by the Italian custodian. He and his baker wife look after them. The actors include children and employees of the Yeshurun Community Synagogue in Manhattan. Among others, the Rabbi Haskel Luckstein took part.
